Paravent, 2023

The exhibition Paravent situates painting at the intersection of medium and spatial context. Central to the presentation is a triptych-room divider that both functions as object and operates as a critical device to renegotiate architectural relations.

The works unfold through serial abstractions—monochrome surfaces, grids, and pattern-based structures—that extend the pictorial field into installation. Emerging from a process of revisiting and reconfiguring earlier works, these compositions probe the hierarchy of painting, shifting between image, form, and object, and positioning the viewer within the “third space” between canvas and environment.
